Vehicle valets are likely to work weekends, and work is often seasonal. Depending on the size and type of employer, you could work indoors or outdoors, sometimes both. If you are a mobile vehicle valet then you will be expected to travel from job to job.

There may be opportunities for shift and overtime pay depending on your employer. You may also be eligible for holiday entitlement, company pension and private healthcare schemes.
There are no formal qualifications required to work as a vehicle valet, although a genuine interest in the industry and experience in either the motor trade, industrial/office cleaning or dry cleaning may be advantageous.
Once you have started work as a vehicle valet you will be taught cleaning techniques and health and safety procedures on the job by a trained vehicle valet. You will work alongside a trained valet, usually for 3 to 6 months, until you are ready to work alone.
